You are invited to a special event dedicated to the creative legacy and worldview of M. K. Čiurlionis.

The event will begin with a performance of Čiurlionis' music by pianists Vardan Geodakian and Arthur Grigoryan.

In the first part of the event:

Rafailas Arutiunian will deliver a lecture on Čiurlionis' vision to create the Creation of the World cycle and the artistic process behind it.
Art historian Edmundas Saladžius will share his reflections on R. Arutiunian’s insights and compare them with previously established interpretations of Čiurlionis’ work.
The first part will conclude with another performance of Čiurlionis’ music.

In the second part:

R. Arutiunian will continue the lecture, focusing on the 1909 painting "Rex", presenting it as the culmination of the Creation of the World cycle. He will analyze the work and introduce Čiurlionis’ model of the universe, highlighting its similarities to cosmological motifs found in Armenian khachkars.

The lectures will be accompanied by specially selected visual materials. Key artworks to be discussed include:
